Troop 212 was founded in 1927 and has a rich history full of camping, awards, and great leaders. Today, we are a smaller scout-run troop. The scout leadership plans what will be accomplished every troop meeting, whether it be part of a merit badge, working on their next rank, or other fun things such as Blast Cars, games, or preparing for an upcoming campout.
Our troop meets Mondays at the Coon Rapids VFW from 7pm to 8:30pm. We have special quarterly Court of Honors that are set aside for awards to be given and rank advancement to be acknowledged. Click here to see our calendar of upcoming meetings and events.
We enjoy camping, fellowship, and having lots of fun which we do throughout the year. During the summer, we alternate between Tomahawk Scout Camp and Many Point Scout Camp. At this week-long camp, we work on earning merit badges as well as the next step towards the next rank and have lots of fun doing it!
In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.
Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.
In Scouts BSA, young men and women go places, test themselves, and have one-of-a-kind adventures that can’t be found anywhere else.
