Scotch Pines are the beginning of our lower end trees. They have dark green needles that make lights show. The needle lengths range from 1 - 3 inches. The underside of the needles have rows of white which distinguish its stomatal openings. It takes 6 to 8 years to grow a 7 - 8 foot tree. The tree can remain fresh for 3 to 4 weeks. They are most commonly grown in the British Isles, from Scandinavian peninsulas through central Europe, south to the Mediteranean, and east through eastern Siberia. Scotch Pines can hold ornaments that are light to slightly heavy. They are priced lower because of their oddly shaped trunks and the fact that their needles drop quickly.
